Since January 2nd 2013 Hannelore Van Dijck and Peter Morrens are working on an endless drawing conversation that takes shape as an ongoing correspondence by post. The conversation dates back to a joint reflection on the fact that Van Dijck’s floor drawing ‘Le Plat Pays’ had suddenly washed away at Voorkamer on august 28th 2012. The drawing will be made on a small prepared panel (20 X 28 cm) and will be mailed unprotected. The work will not know a final state. With every arrival by post, the front and back of the panel will be scanned and put on display on this blog. These frozen moments in the correspondence will be published by Voorkamer in the form of multiples. The multiples are one-time only and original photographic snapshots from an endless vein of conversation that only exists as a finished series in a virtual sense. Each multiple will be a 1/1 reproduction of the front and back of an original conversation drawing, printed on Hahnemuhle Photorag 320g and mounted double-sided on Dibond.
